Red Shirt Discussion Group

I realize now that I completely failed to post the details to the discussion group online! Hopefully most of you checking out this site have visited the store and inquired, or seen it posted on the wall. BUT if you haven't, here you go:

$10 for two months.

You'll get two Independant Comics (comics published NOT by Marvel or DC) to read prior to the meeting. Meeting will be the 1st Wednesday of every month at 7:00pm and we'll discuss the comics various aspects from story, to subtext, to cultural impact, to art, to color, to layout and design.

Think it sounds a bit over your head? New to comics? No way this is great! This is an awesome way to learn about the medium and a perfect forum to ask lots of questions. The group currently runs a wide swath of backgrounds, ages, and comic knowledge. It's a fantastic way to see something through someone else's perspective and learn a little.

After we discuss the two main comics, we all share "What we've been reading lately" and what it's about to help find new things to check out or even avoid if it doesn't sound like it's for you.
